Very tough loss. Getting into foul trouble killed Clemson in the 2nd half. I'm livid.

The better team with the better coach won.

Re: OP = TB?

OP has brought credibility to the Clemson Basketball program and has really done more with less. It's becoming almost like a Tommy Bowden situation however. He fields a good, competitive team that can't seem to win the big games with any consistency. Another disappointing loss in the 1st round.

Actually, OP has done a huge job and more than brought credibility to CU Hoops. OP dragged CU Hoops out of the exceedingly bad dark days of the Larry Shyatt era (Do you recall the 8-9 ACC hoops "tourney" game being referred to by me and others as the Larry Shyatt Memorial game?) and back into the flashlight era of Cliff Ellis.

Yeah, he ain't done what Rick "Howdy dahlin'" Barnes did, but given what Oliver inherited, the OPP results are fantastic.

Most of the issues that I see with OP are that we took a step backwards this year for the first time since OP was leading the program. Our 4 froshs didn't step up as expected this year, Potter (by his own admission) had a bad year, Stitt's injury hurt more than his ankle, TO's defection to Europe also screwed us.

OP needs to get the monkey off his back and win an NCAA game or 3 next year. We native's are getting restless. and if he doesn't win at least 1 game in the 2011 NCAA...well then he's Tammy BowDown #2.

And then I'll be first in line to run OP out of town.

Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before.

Humilitated

I can't think of a better word to summarize our performance other than humiliation. They simply wanted it more and it showed in their hustle and our lack of hustle. Sorry Booker, but if you want to be a winner it takes more than simply being good in to post. You actually have to run sometimes.

I was hoping that our Tigers would play like their Tigers.

Mar 20, 2010, 1:35 AM

Clemson was out-hussled, out-pressed, out-smarted, & out-Tigered. In my pre-tourney dreams, I had visions of Clemson beating better teams by playing exactly the way that Missouri did.

I think Missouri showed OP and the boys how you run the press.

I'm disappointed, but based on history, who here is surprised

? It seems that we perform poorly in both the ACC and NCAA tourneys. Can't complain about how we play in the NIT though.
