Fridge looks ahead at Clemson

Ralph Friedgen, the head football coach at Maryland and a long-time Clemson nemesis, will once again try to be a thorn in the Tigers’ side when his Terrapins take on Clemson on Saturday in a noon game televised by ESPNU. Full Story »

Thanks...

I know Ralph's specialty is offense, but I don't see his "O" scoring much on the Tigers, unless our offense turns it over deep.

Also, there will always only be one "Fridge" at Clemson.

I've actually grown to appreciate Fridge.

His offenses when at GT were just awesome. He didn't have elite talent (very good) and you just knew they would move the ball. One of the best offensive minds out there the best couple decades. Turns out he's not going to have too much more success as a HC (one champ is more than most though), and he'll probably retire after this - but Fridge running an O and Steele running a D would be pretty sweet.

Dream on...I know.

I agree. But I'd be worried watching him run down the hill.***

He was a great playcaller when Joe Hamilton was his QB, absolutely.

Joe was his best, but he made other average guys...

...pretty durn good. Godsey, and one other drawing a blank on name.

Not only at Tech but he has beaten us at Maryland several years when we had the better team. TB was certainly no match for him!

Thought this was going to be an article about William Perry***
