The Tigers just gave up at the end

Who is actually "giving up" here??

The team gave up? You and I watched a different game.

I must have missed the part where Michigan expanded their halftime lead into a rout down the stretch to win going away ...

Gave up? No! Fighting back from a large deficit to the point where they still had a good chance to win at the end does not signify giving up.

They played poorly ... no argument, but they did not give up.

However, by posting as you did, one might construe that you have in fact, given up.

What game at the end of the season did you feel like they gave up in?

Admittedly they played VERY poorly in several games down the stretch, but I just don't remember a game where I sat there and thought to myself, these guys have given up.

I actually haven't felt like the Tigers have given up in a game since OP has been the coach, while I felt that way routinely for the 3-4 years previous to his arrival.
