Not surprised.. Our team has to get an identity...

Sep 8, 2008, 6:47 AM

Theres too much talent and not enough brains on the coaching staff to utilize it. We need to identify our starters for THIS year and stop worrying about experience for underclassmen that aren't warranting starting positions aka Bowers. I'd like to see Clemson play some smashmouth football like Bama did. I don't think Tommy has the intensity to fire up his players though.

Are you kidding? Bowers?!?! You do realize he is the only player who has a sack this year don't you? Have you watched him play? He's the only pass rush we have had in two games. You are right about the coaching to player talent ratio, but to suggest Bowers shouldn't be on the field is a joke.

Maybe he is on the coaching staff***

Huh? Noles and Wake will each have 9+ win seasons

Sep 8, 2008, 11:02 AM

based on their early play and the play of the teams they have remaining on their schedules.

Why is UWV still in the top 25?

Sep 8, 2008, 8:18 AM

They were #8 and lost to an unranked ECU team. At least we lost to a ranked Alabama team when we were #9.

reputation. they have one and we don't. they have won conference championships and bcs games in the recent past while we have not.

but fear not they are "coming back" to us quickly now that they have a comparable hc to ctb.

although in fairness to their head coach he HAS WON a BCS bowl game which we have never done. heck we have never even BEEN to one.

Bill Stewart won a BCS bowlgame?***

not one we'd like but we have one. LOL

This is the reason we should have left our starters in

Sep 8, 2008, 3:39 PM

Voters only care about looking good. If you want to impress them you completely blow out your opponent. Another horrible move by coach Tommy Bowden. Look at FSU. They are smart. They blew out Western Carolina 69-0 and it raised an eyebrow from the voters. Now they are ranked just outside the top 25.

Re: This is the reason we should have left our starters in

Sep 8, 2008, 3:47 PM

Yeah, THAT makes sense. Risk injury to your starters when the game is in the bag, just to impress other coaches two games into the season. BRILLIANT!!!

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We need to stop being pansies and worry about injuries

Sep 8, 2008, 3:51 PM

We are going to get injured anyway. Look at Hairston, he fell off a moped after the game and we lost him. What, are you gonna start locking players in their rooms? Our starters wouldn't have gotten hurt anyways because the Citadel was too weak to hurt them.
