You don't have to worry about paying someone at Fike 50 bucks just so you can watch a Clemson game.

Aren't you glad your parents didn't think like you do***

Reason number 1 to have kids

Jul 28, 2008, 11:05 AM [ in reply to Reason 8,964,531 to not have kids ]

When your 2 year old says "Daddy, look at all those tiger paws."

Or

"I want to go watch the football man."

or

"I want to go play on the football field." (Ok so thats only a tradition for Clemson so I guess thats Reason #1 to have a Clemson kid.)

Shoot, tickets are cheaper than babysitting. That just aint right.

50 bucks = 4 hours of babysitting

Jul 28, 2008, 11:51 AM [ in reply to Reason 8,964,531 to not have kids ]

Average babysitting rates in Charleston are $12-$13 an hour. I almost choked when I first found that out. Considering the Fike program probably runs 5 hours, I'd say you're getting a deal compared to having someone sit the kids at home.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wow....who negotiated that rate !?!?!

My oldest daughter babysits and she generally gets between $8.00 and $10.00 an hour.

It doesn't say how long after the game the service lasts

This makes me smile! I wont have to getup for the bathroom every 15 minutes, and I wont have to spend @$$loads of money at the concession stands! Way to Go CU!

They need a dog-sitter service, too

Jul 28, 2008, 10:48 AM

I'd pay for that!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

that would be nice. They could open up the baseball

field and have a big doggie park... I'm sure the grounds crew would LOVE that ;)

I would have beaten my parents if they'd made me go to that instead of the game.

Does anyone remember that daycare center on the way to the games, I think it was in the Pendleton area? I spent more than one Saturday there as I recall. This is awesome, but guys... now when the little lady says she doesn't have a sitter for the game and is really meaning she doesn't want to spend an afternoon with you and 85K+ of your closest friends all wearing orange... reason enough to divorce her!

Hopefully, the athletic department will open up the restrooms in Fike for public use during home football games. In years past, Fike has not been open.
