FSU Game Postgame Analysis

The Tigers? third straight victory against the former king of the ACC did not signal they have earned a seat at the table of greatness but it did send the message that they are beginning to amass a lot of talent. Full Story »

Why the random, unprovoked attack at WVU?

Sep 7, 2007, 10:39 AM

Kind of unnecessary.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree. Don't see point of putting down the whole state.***

Please don't compare Kelly to Youngblood. Youngblood never lived up to his talent and had some huge drops in his career. We should hope for a taller, faster version of Rod Gardner.

Re: FSU Game Postgame Analysis

In the 2nd half, I think Clemson's defense gave up too many catches in obvious passing situations. (And FSU helped by dropping a few easy ones.) I think FSU's offense "broke Clemson's code" in the second half... Force Clemson's secondary to stop the pass, and use a passing attack to set up runs and screens. That's how FSU had all of their success. (Maybe UK too?) I hope Koenning remedies that weakness. GT, VT, & BC have the talent (both on their offensive lines and receivers) to exploit that weakness far better than FSU did. FSU's young, inexperienced offensive line allowed Clemson to harrass Weatherford most of the night-- sometimes even when Clemson rushed only 3. But when FSU's O-line started giving Weatherford time, he was able to connect far too often. I expect the offensive lines of GT, VT, & BC to give their QBs far more time to pick apart Clemson's pass defense.

C'mon Vic... solve this BEFORE the GT game (not next summer) and Clemson could be playing for the ACC title this year! Otherwise the team looked great-- except for the bad punts and offensive penalties, which should be easy to fix.
