You can thank UK for the sellout, not Clemson

Dec 6, 2006, 7:50 AM [ in reply to Wow that was quick*** ]

Not knocking Clemson's bowl travel prowess, which is phenomenal, but this sellout is due to Kentucky. It's practically a home stadium for them, plus this is their first bowl game in a while and their fans have to be excited. I'm sure there will be great Clemson representation there (though with all the whining and b**tching and complaining on this site, I have to wonder) but the stadium will be more blue than orange.

Well, either school brings in a bunch of fans, but the GBA

Dec 5, 2006, 5:15 PM

new that a Bowl Game with Clemson would sell out, especially Clemson v. Texas.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm sure Clemson would never sell out the Gator Bowl =/***

I don't think the Gator had a shot at getting Kentucky,

especially Kentucky within driving distance.

After they part ways with the ACC, maybe they will have the opportunity to take the Wildcats!!

"Gamecocks aren’t ready to take college football by storm just yet. They’re not even ready to compete in their own state – Clemson will still own the territory. Gamecocks fans would be smart to keep their heads buried until that time. Avoid talking trash to a much better Clemson program.” -Dustin Tackett

GO TIGERS

HOME GAME...

Dec 5, 2006, 8:20 PM

.... for UK. It'll be 95% to 5% UK to Clemson at this game. TRUST me. Even if CU fans bought more tix than that, they'll end up in Wildcats' hands. I use to live there and trust me, Nashville is UK's second home. It'll be a UK crowd. But who cares.... we win big on national TV!
