media?
It seems xman, bengaline, and cdef (themselves stalwarts of unbias when it comes to politics) cry and whine about the media 24/7. It just gets old.
Everyone with half a brain knows the media as a whole spins toward the left, and that there aren't that many conservatives who go to Journalism school. It's always been this way but with the advent of cable news in the 80s, many journalists don't even try to be unbiased any longer.
Still, the media has always tilted left even back to Ben Franklin himself, and everyone with half a brain should expect this, and take it with a grain of salt.
Why constantly cry about something that is just a reality?

understand. Not so much ideology as power. And this has been true throughout history. The world over.
They tilted Federalist over Democratic-Republican. They tilted Fascist over socialist in Germany. They tilted communist over socialist in Russia. Generally speaking, in democracies, the left holds the keys to the collection of power. Conservatives promote things that weaken and decentralize power. And that does the media no good because they want to be important, and you need to be attached to, and friendly with, the power in charge to accomplish that. The media does not want to be shut out. They want to be used by powerful people because that makes the media class more powerful as well.

Even though the Republicans control the House, Senate and Presidency. The large bulk of Governors. And a large bulk of State houses too.
Especially true in SC.

to the Independent label 15-ish years ago when I realized the Dems would never do what I wanted because of ideology and special interests, and the Pubs could never do what I wanted because of populist cowardice and special interests.
Pretty sure the next few years will just be a replay of the Contract with America era broken promises.

Media is driven by ad revenues. According to Gallup only 36% of Americans identify themselves as Conservative.
The other 64% identify as liberal or moderate. There's more money in 64% of the population.
