Coleman has played very well. He has not been beat deep

Nov 10, 2005, 7:33 PM [ in reply to It better not be Coleman*** ]

once that I'm aware of. He makes sure tackles and he plays with a ton of emotion. So what's the problem?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You obviously didn't see the Temple game.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Which play(s) are you referring to?

Nov 10, 2005, 7:52 PM

I wasn't aware of any deep breakdowns by Coleman, so if you saw something let me know. In any case, Duane has done very well especially for a 1st year/1st time player. He may even have a better tackles per play ratio than the other corners. He's around the ball a lot and hits with bad intentions. He will make an even better defensive player in time. I see no issues with Duane starting or playing significant time. What did you see?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

was an out and up - Temple busted the play for about

Nov 10, 2005, 8:01 PM

40 yards. The receiver had him beaten but the throw was not that great. The Temple receiver made a good catch.

That's the one I remember.

Thanks Fireball. I truly wasn't sure...

Nov 10, 2005, 8:16 PM

I must have missed it. I still wouldn't mind Duane starting or playing a lot though.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

oh agreed.

Nov 10, 2005, 8:24 PM

Coleman could surprise us. I think Gilliam gets a lot of snaps Saturday. I just hope Gilliam learns from this and gets better.

GO TIGERS!!

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree. The guy is pretty good at tackling considering

Nov 10, 2005, 7:49 PM [ in reply to Coleman has played very well. He has not been beat deep ]

this isnt his natural position. Ive seen some pretty dang good open field tackles this year from DC.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I hate to knock Gilliam, but I'd take Coleman at this point.***

What are you going to do, boo him???

Nov 11, 2005, 9:36 AM [ in reply to It better not be Coleman*** ]

Give me a break. I hope Coleman starts.

“The best moment was on draft day when (N.C. State’s Mario Williams, Manny Lawson and John McCargo) all got picked in the first round,” said Dustin Fry. “That was kind of nice knowing we ran for 254 yards against three first-round defensive linemen.”

Sergio may not start, but he will get the majority of snaps****

I dont understand the move

Nov 10, 2005, 7:41 PM

besides the Duke game I thought he has played well, he has covered above average and has tackled well and given good run suppport.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Uhhh have you not been paying attention all season?

Nov 10, 2005, 7:44 PM

He's been burned a great deal. WFU immediately springs to mind.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You're absolutely correct.................

Jun 18, 2016, 10:15 PM

man, I'll tell you, Gilliam and Gaddis have made my blood pressure rise all season. But, unfortunately, not a lot of alternatives at the BEGINNING of the season. Its different now!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I saw Lewis get burnt 3 times vs Duke

Nov 10, 2005, 8:43 PM

Lord I don't think he is the answer. He got beat deep on the TD and twice down the sideline. I think he will be a good player, but he ain't there yet. Lord help us if he starts.

Chuck Norris frequently signs up for beginner karate classes, just so he can "accidentally" beat the s*it out of little kids.

Why not move Gaddis over? Was he that bad as JM

Nov 17, 2016, 11:21 AM

backup?

I think this is to light a fire under Sergio***

Sergio accounted for about 166 yards of the 300+ yards passing Duke had last Saturday.
