I can think of 99 problems but our defense ain't one. Ton of talent waiting in the wings, ready to make a name for themselves.

Pretty sure he is a redshirt sophomore, so he can go.

Even though Mac said he wasn't leaving till Clemson got a natty, that boy is gone with him getting first round potential thrown all his way. Shaq and Kearse are going as well. Good news is Vann Smith, Mark Fields, Huggy Bear, Austin Bryant, Clelin Ferrell, Christian Wilkins, Boulware, Chad Smith, and company. BOTTOM LINE We will be fine!

As to the OP's question, we have the guys ready to take over. Clemson has recruited very well on both sides of the ball. In a weird way ,losing a couple helps us in the long run, Gets our class up to 18-20 instead of 12-14.

The ILB spot is his to take. I'd be pretty surprised if Kendall Joseph could hold of Lamar being that his is set to enroll early.

Didn't even think about him! You right that ILB position should be his but Kendall is a baller! Played against him in high school, straight up baller and has DB speed.
I seen someone mention Korrin Wiggins, he will be a HUGE asset next year.. If we can land Rashaun Smith and Lawrence we'll be set. I literally do not see a drop off on next years defense. Jeffrie Gibson= Kearse 2.0!

Keep in mind it seems to be hard to plug and play LB'ers in BV's scheme...see boulware and anthony for recent examples. I very much doubt a freshman LB no matter how talented will come in year 1 and start in BV's defense.
That said I am a tiny bit concerned that our backup LB's haven't seen more playing time.

You have a point there. I said the same thing in my head I just didn't type it lol. Lamar might not start at the beginning of next season but he wil definitely contribute. Kendall has more than enough time to get prepared to start, he should get some PT Saturday. Then he has spring ball and the whole summer to learn.

Wilkins will have another year in the system and weight room. Austin Bryant should be better obviously. Mark Fields and Van Smith have some talent obviously. I am interested to see how redshirt guys like Clelin Ferrel , Tanner Muse, and Chad Smith will look. Then there is Xavier Kelly, Tre Lamar, and hopefully we add Dexter Lawrence and and Rashaun Smith. We will also get Korrin Wiggins back. Then of course all of the starters I didn't name that are staying.. I think we're going to be fine.

OK. ONE EXAMPLE:
Nov 18, 2015, 9:06 PM
|
|
He squats 600 lbs. He Benches 575 lbs. NFL combine record for bench press reps is 50 reps at 225 lbs. He just benched the same 225 lbs 42 times. Is he headed to the draft? No. He is a red shirted freshman and is 18 years old.
IS THAT GOOD NEWS? It's ok...you can say it. We know
Sorry- for a moment there I lost my cool. There is no bad news presently. We do need to get used to the 3-year terms though. Current NFL production tells us that all by itself

Insane that he add 100 pounds to his squat max and 225 pounds to his bench (Using numbers from his hudl page) Any idea what he is weighing in at now ?

advantage of the fortune granted to him each opportunity he sees. If one had to pay out-of-pocket prices for equal conditioning facilities, instruction, and training, Clemson would be the highest priced facility in the country. He appreciates his fortune/ blessings.
