Feaster opens up, says "I know where I want to go"

Wednesday’s National Signing Day festivities will be all about the 2015 prospects inking their names, but with Clemson’s class already intact, Tiger fans’ attention will be on Spartanburg High School at 6 p.m. as elite 2016 running back Tavien Feaster announces his commitment. Why did he decide to announce his commitment on NSD? What factors went into his decision? Full Story »

He mentioned family and his "brothers". Sounds like Tiger talk to me!! I might be wrong but I like the feeling of it

Kinda gives it away huh?

Not so much

Feb 2, 2015, 11:35 PM

Considering he can't wear no 28 at clemson. Number is retired.

Re: Not so much

Feb 2, 2015, 11:56 PM

So was Steve Fuller. Nothing is impossible. Knowing CJ Spiller, he would be proud and the first to recommend that he keep his number and legacy alive at Clemson University.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

As committed to Clemson as Spiller is...he'd have no problem

breaking out the #28. Clemson is a better Clemson fan than some on tnet...

Might want to go back and reread about using Steve Fuller's

Feb 3, 2015, 8:10 AM

number and how that came about.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Might want to go back and reread about using Steve Fuller's

Feb 3, 2015, 9:08 AM

Absolutely right. Before issuing the retired number, Clemson discussed it with Fuller and got his approval. I believe that, if Steve had said no, we wouldn't have done it, not even for Watson. Hard for some to believe, but I don't have a doubt in my mind. Of course, Steve Fuller is a prince of a man and a huge supporter of Clemson, and that didn't hurt. So is CJ Spiller, and so are almost all the other guys who have strapped on the gear and been a part of the program.

Re: New Story: Feaster opens up, says "I know where I want to go"

Clemson has a huge advantage on the academic front amonged the 3 colleges. With the high caliber players at the receivers, tightends, qb's, as well as a top notch recruitment at the O-line positions, Feather will go untouch on many plays. It will be just like CJ Spiller breaking many of runs and off to the races before you know it. He wouldn't have to carrier the load at Clemson because those receivers, TE's, and Qb's combinations which will stretch the field for him to make easily and effortless runs, catches, and or plays throughout the game. I hate to say it, but he wouldn't have to work as hard to make big plays do to the style of offense Clemson runs. Similar to how D. Watson throwing the football, effortlessly. He would just add another dimension to what already seem to be a stellar and high profile offensive unit for the next several years. Mark my word. If he chooses Clemson, he will cruise through his collegiate career unscaled.

Re: New Story: Feaster opens up, says "I know where I want to go"

Feb 3, 2015, 8:17 PM

Especially with the OL players we have coming in. Also, I understand that
we redshirted a tackle last year, Maverick Norris, who is supposed to be a
beast. Any scuttlebutt on him?

Kid is a Stud

Feb 3, 2015, 7:13 AM

he is a legit 4.3 runner.....with that size and those moves.....he could be a great one....his build kinda reminds me of david wilson but I think this kid will be little bit heavier....maybe 210-215 or so. This would be a premiere kick starter to the 2016 recruiting cycle.....just like Hyatt last year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: New Story: Feaster opens up, says "I know where I want to go"

Feb 3, 2015, 8:22 AM

He will be a great addition to an already great offense. The first thing that I notice about him is that he is a very patient runner that follows his blocks very well. This is an unusual attribute for a young running back. Thank you Dabo and Scott for such a good job recruiting and building a great team!

those numbers just don't come from a "peep" of criticism.

Do you criticize your wife, children, boss, etc like you do Clemson?

Yep, it's unfortunate how sensitive people are to any form of criticism here.

Given the fact that they seem totally intent on attacking
obvious Clemson fans and sowing discontent on the site, is it
unreasonable to suspect that they are the real "coots" trolling
here? Just a thought.

That's saying considering we have Choice, Dye, and Gallman, not to mention
Fuller who red-shirted and has size and speed. There will be some quality
competition.

I sure hope this young man picks Clemson! However, his attitude and intelligence will take him where he needs to go! Sounds like he will be successful wherever he chooses; best of luck to him!!!

I hope the choice is us! We do have all you are looking for in a school, from the leadership, Academics, Graduation emphasis, and great FB tradition. Couple that with the great players who will be there with you and this coaching staff, and the choice is obvious. Thanks for considering us.
