Ranking Clemson's 2015 opponents
Who will be Clemson's toughest opponent in 2015? Which one is at the bottom of the list? Which opponent has surprisingly slipped into the middle of the pack? TigerNet takes a look at the 2015 schedule from a different perspective. Photo by Joshua S. Kelly / USATODAY Full Story » |

I don't think it matters who GT plays at RB... at all

QB play is their lynch pin and they have a guy right now who's a stud in that offense and runs it to perfection. The big question with GT is will they have a mediocre defense like last year or an atrocious defense like the 2 years prior? Mediocre defense will take them pretty far next year.

I am going to disagree with you on this: The option is the only offense that relies more on the offensive line. With all the movement in the backfield, the blockers have to be able to slow down the LBs coming downhill. If I read correctly, they have 4 returning starters on offense? If any of them is inexperienced at O-Line, GT could be looking at a 7- to 8-win season. The QB and pitch men (RB or FB) can be stellar but if no one's blocking, it becomes a mismatch in favor of the defense.

Talk about sunshine pumping....
I know we all think next year will be great (fwiw, I've been looking to 16 as the special year since last season), but the writer never mentioned the starters we have returning, why our defense should be solid, why our o line should be solid or why we should have confidence I our new OC arrangement.
He does a good job of pointing out where we should expect some competition, but if am not at a spot of believing we should be favored in every game. Truth is, Louisville really has my attention and I am nowhere close to disregarding FSU, GT or USC (though I am on the bubble regarding USC).
There is almost good news on a daily basis for us and everything seems to be heading in the right direction but we are not yet where Bama was a few years ago even though the article could lead one to believe we might be.

It really comes down to whether DW4 can stay healthy. If not, our O could struggle again. Healthy, and we're really hard to beat.

I ain't looking past Wofford nor AppState! Wofford's O is good practice for the discipline we will need against GaT! AppSt returns 20 starters...
But the only 3 teams on the schedule we might not be favored against if DW is healthy are FSU, ND, and GaT. As long as we keep winning we will be favored against them as well because we have all 3 at home!

I would have AppState ahead of Syracuse. I do think Wake will be much better next year than this year but AppState or Duke may be the best team in the the state of NC next year. We will be able to compare NCSt and AppState next year after we play them both.
