Jordan Roper is a scorer, period

He's been in a slump... but there's a reason he is the one guy that has always seemed to have the green light. When he's on, he can score, and not just from 3.
I think BB originally thought he would be some "instant offense" off the bench, but he has clearly struggled this year.
BB inserts him into the lineup, and something clicks and he starts filling it up. We run him off a lot of screens, and he's got a quick release. He's tough to defend when he puts on on the floor b/c he's a lefty too.
Him finally finding the bottom is HUGE for this team. It take scoring pressure off of Hall, and allows him to play a more comfortable game.
Anyone who says Roper is not a natural 2 guard is out of their mind.

But his Fresh year he averaged .9 assists to .9 turnovers a game. He was a true PG.

Jordan didn't play well because he started....he started because he played ok then had a great week of practice leading up to wake game. Brownell doesn't just hand out pt. He will demand the best from his players. Some reach down and work for it and others bail out and transfer. Kudos to Jordan for taking his game to another level. Every player we have has this same opportunity. ...some will, some wont. Brownell even said 1 week on his call in show that Roper had been fighting them on some things. It's hard to convince a kid who has had success doing things a certain way to make changes, but Jordan is exhibit A of what happens when a player buys completely in and works hard.

It don't take a genius to figure that out, it's pretty simple.

Yep and Harrison needs to get going. He was a big key and hit some big shots last season.

Another thing is...
I would like the team to try and play alittle faster. More motion in half court sets.
But yes, good to see Roper coming along, eh.

Either Avery Holmes (transfer with two years remaining) or Tu Hudson will be the point. Both seem to be natural pgs.
