New Story: Friday bowl practice observations

Friday bowl practice observations

The Tigers took to the field again Friday afternoon, and there were plenty of recruits and former players in attendance. What punt returner stood out? What was the saddest place on the field? Full Story »

...however, sources from TCI were not in attendance.

Good to see Ray Ray and some other commits out there watching practice as well.

Agreed! I know they are excited at what they are watching and can't wait to be a part of it.

Maybe since Radakovich was in attendance he had a moment

Dec 26, 2014, 4:22 PM

to explain to the players why the committee he was on shafted Clemson and the ACC on their bowl selections.

Just Stop.

There is no good reason to give Clemson a better bowl than the one they were dealt. Unless of course you were of the opinion that Cole Stoudt was an actual draw for the real fan, casual fan, TV networks etc. which he is not... I, like most who are disappointed in DW's injuries, enjoy tuning in for the defensive efforts I get to see but to be quite honest, the loss of a recruit like Chad Kelly really hurts the plan because anyone in their right mind wouldn't want to rely on the guy our team has to rely on.

When the bowls were selected DW was supposed to play

Dec 27, 2014, 11:43 PM

The fact we're playing an unranked team is proof we were shafted.
Now, without DW, I would say it turns out to be an even matchup.

Re: When the bowls were selected DW was supposed to play

DW was never supposed to play in anyone's right mind. It would have been a terrible decision for the University if he were to play on that leg again this year, but yes he could have played if the game meant anything (National Championship). After our year the bowl game wouldn't mean anything regardless of how much DRad lobbied. Get your stud healthy.

We should be happy that we're only going to lose semi-under the radar to a team like OK, while we could have been embarassed like the WV debacle as our starting qb has no place on a D-1 roster.

I hate it for this defense, but this season just needs to come to an end.

Sampson Brings Back Memories ----

I remember they used to sneak him to the corner edge of the trenches and send him on a blitz almost every play. He wasn't the biggest but he was a gamer.

Mix it up at the punt and.Kick returns. Why wait to next year, let Artavias and G-Hop return a kick or two. Catch the Sooner off guard !!

Don't know if I want Hopper returning punts. He seems...

Dec 28, 2014, 8:32 PM [ in reply to Re: New Story: Friday bowl practice observations ]

to have concentration issues, dropping way too many passes. We don't need someone back there dropping punts and kick-offs.
