A national sports talk show host suggested we do away with the NCAA committee for the football playoffs and let Las Vegas tell us the best for teams. I agree that no one knows football more than Vegas, but they also get it wrong a lot.

Not really a fan of that--however, the odds makers were pretty much spot on with their preseason forecasts for the teams selected for the playoffs.
ALA, OR & OH ST were +0.5 and FL ST +1.0.
Not bad, but I doubt if that'll be a consistent theme.

Is there any way we can have a little more in depth analysis of this than surface level stuff? Maybe how the over/under has affected us in the past? Or if you really want to try, how the over/under in the past 10 years reflects or predicts the current or future success of a program?
