So he thinks playing at home

Has prepared them well for the crowd noise he will face in Death Valley.
Doeren is about to endure an environment unlike any he has seen. No, they aren't ready.

I could be wrong but, he sounds like he expects to come into DV and win. I think that they are a dangerous team even coming off a close loss with FSU. They are using that 4th quarter loss to FSU as a confidence builder. If our Defense comes to actually play the whole game. I think that NC State will get that big bubble their in right now seriously deflated. Gooooo Tigerssss!!!!

And he should come into Death Valley thinking they can win. If he didn't, then he hasn't prepared well as a coach.

Dangerous team. Scary game. That effort against UNC just won't get it---no where near.

He is so full of crap about being a young team, 10 starters on offense are either jrs. or srs. 7 starters on defense are either Jrs. or Srs. He is young and stupid.

Agreed. I will be there and I am prepared to lose my voice this weekend.
You wont experience crowd noise like the valley.

Coach speak or strange logic?
Oct 3, 2014, 10:41 AM
|
|
- A 15 point loss proves NSCSU can beat anyone in the country?
- NCSU is a young team, Clemson has a bunch of seniors and grad students, except a true freshman threw 6 touchdowns last week for Clemson and the touchdowns were caught by a true freshman and 3 sophomores.
- The away game at USF (attendance 27,269 per ESPN) means NCSU's young team is ready for the crowd noise at Clemson.

HAHAHA! Doerens comments crack me up, there is no way the NC State crowd can bring the noise like us Tiger fans. Get ready for some SERIOUS NOISE, the roar of the Tigers will surely drowned out any wolf's howl. I dont see how noise at home can compare to noise on the road, especially in The Valley.

NC State plays us tough. Always. We were MUCH better than them last year at Raleigh and it took a bad call in the third quarter to keep the Wolfpack away. (I was there.) I think the gap is a little closer this year.
This one's a shootout. We need the defense who played the first 30 minutes against UNC last week to play for the entire 60 minutes.

What is this bad call you speak of? I was there last year and remember the refs calling back a touchdown because their guy stepped out of bounds. The reason they called him out was because you know, he stepped out of bounds...

That electrifying atmosphere in Raleigh was because you were at home and a large majority of the crowd was cheering FOR you. It's a little different when the crowd is cheering AGAINST you... But don't take my word for it!

...that Raleigh's noise helps prepare for DV. That's ludicrous, and you should pray to God to block the "dumb".
That was a home game, Dave. So your crowd gets quiet when you're on offense, and yells when you're on defense. Offense is most critical for commuications. Have you brought the jet engines to the practice fields this week? Then you're not ready, and wouldn't be if you did.
I think "Dave" is going to get a rude awakening, sort of like the Dave guy in "2001", when Hal decided to let him go.

"Though we had an electric crowd last week, they were on our side, so it will be interesting to see how they respond to an electric stadium crowd on the road...I've heard that Clemson has been ranked in many top 10 lists of the loudest stadiums in the NCAA, has broken a dB record in the past, and has been named by ACC players several times as one of the most intimidating stadiums, so I'm sure we're going to have to learn to deal with the crowd factor or try to take them out of the game in a place like Memorial Stadium"

won't give the crowd any motivation either..... Death Valley wants that record IN Death Valley and the crowd will make it happen. Doeren is going to get a new level of decibels in the stadium this Saturday. Only thing going for him is that it isn't a night game.

Hmm...sounds like an excuse when you have such powerful comeback victories over Old Dominion and Georgia Southern and a great road win in always tough Raymond James Stadium. Last I checked, Clemson was starting young guys at some pretty important positions, too. And that has never been an excuse Clemson has used. Maybe the deflection from Doeren after the game, when Clemson wins, will be youth, or Clemson faking injuries, or a phantom hold...it seems to go on and on with this guy. GO TIGERS!!

Credit due. They hung 40 points on FSU and led by 17 even with the Cable man playing. I think game will be closer than a lot think. Defense better play hard all 4 quarters, and offense better be firing on all cylinders passing as well as running the ball.
