The Suspension
Like every other aspect in sports, suspensions are something we analyze and we have a major suspension to analyze for Saturday. When Heisman trophy quarterback Jameis Winston was suspended for the first half of Saturday's game questions about the Clemson game began to circulate throughout my head.

I agree with everything you said, except the part about this being a tainted win, if we pull it off. I doubt it will matter if we win. We still would have the record, and they would have the loss. That really will be all that matters to most, IMO. It will be a head to head loss. That usually matters a lot if there is a tied up ranking.

Last time I checked FSU was still #1 and the main obstacle to the ACCCG, with or without their idiot QB for 30 minutes.

Who cares a win is a win Jameis Winston didn't win all those games last year the team did he was just a part of it and he still plays a half so get the defense riled up in the second half and put Vic Beasley in his face in the backfield Idc how good a qb is put enough pressure on him and he will mess up don't believe me go take a look at the last Super Bowl and if Clemson makes him look bad in the second half that should be enough to shut the critics up and if they still want to talk let them personally I have never seen them on the field during a Clemson Florida state game

As far as perceptions go, he's right

Clemson is in a no win situation. However, on the fiel is really all that matters isn't it? Winning gives us a one up on the division. That's the goal right? Win the division, then win the conf. Personally, I don't care much about national perceptions. A win is a win. Would it be any different if Winston rolled his ankle on the second play from scrimmage and sat out the first half? It's up to Clemson to go down their and beat whatever team they field, who cares what anyone else thinks

Not a "major suspension" - not even enough to make him feel

the heat. Mickey you missed the boat on this making him look like a hero on your first write-up - not writing about his dark side. Anybody with common sense saw this coming - He has been on edge all season, hitting a Cit. player, throwing a ball in the stands against OSU. He has only 3 td passes with 2 interceptions - now he is suspended - a writer needs to note these things in his write-up to be completely objective instead of just bragging about him. Now you incorrectly say "Clemson is in a no-win situation." B. S. to the highest degree as Dabo said there is no asterisk - even at Ga. game where 3 seniors were missing! Get your head straight Mickey! Try prayer!

the game if we win? Clemson had no part in the suspension but would have everything to do with the victory. Celebrate!!!!

Just win baby

As I said yesterday, a team with FSU's caliber of players is expected to have a serviceable backup that can give them a good chance to win the game. Case in point, the line only dropped by approximately four points once the Jameis suspension was announced. One player a team does not make, and fans/the media realize that. They are still the #1 team in the nation and we are still 16 point underdogs.

I hope we win, it would be nice if we have a lead after the half and they put Winston in the game... I would really hate it if they had a big lead and did not play him in the 2nd half..... I prefer a *W than a *L......
