Hyatt coach: "He's the meanest kid I've coached, hands down"

Clemson commit Mitch Hyatt's offensive line coach at North Gwinnett breaks down his star pupil, and says that while Hyatt has the talent to be a great left tackle, he also has something you just can't teach. Full Story »

Hopefully Batson will soften him up a little***

"IDIOT POSTER OF THE MONTH SO FAR...GWP-- You have won IPM Award for your failure to completely comprehend a clear post & then choose to attack someone who points out your ignorance. While you are not yet in the same No Class Catagory as deRoberts, ClemTiger117 & Tigerdug23, you are getting closer to the Sewer Dwellers." - coachmac

Heck no...

Meanness is what makes a good offensive lineman great. It's that extra component that is essential to excelling at the position.

Ahh...cracking on the strength coach

I get it now...moronic but I get it. Kind of of like blaming your college professors on your lack of drive and success.

I'm beginning to think Hyatt is the #1 player in the country.

I'm with you on that but his own coach said he needs more muscle.

Just my own 2 cents

I saw some footage of Hyatt at a camp earlier in the year, and it seemed he was getting beat almost every snap when doing 1 on 1 drills.
You could tell he needed to get bigger and stronger. I think he'll need a couple years in college.

IMHO.

If true he would not be a 5*

I can attest against that.

Look at Havelock's (NC) Keion Joyner. 5-star LB prospect for 2016 and is a complete non-factor in games.

I just attended the Havelock vs. Washington game this past Friday and Joyner had ONE tackle. He wasn't double teamed, there were plenty of plays his way, and he was still a non-factor.

Body-type, speed, playing on a good team, etc. will get you a 5-star rating.

It will get you drafted too. Except Mitch is rolling people week in and week out at LT. A no pads practice shouldn't worry anyone.

It was at the opening and it was 3 1v1s DL v OL. Josh Sweat said the best OL he played against was Mitch Hyatt.

I saw the footage from the opening and nowhere did I see Hyatt getting beat on every play
