All In Cookout wraps up summer recruiting

The All In Cookout is the last big recruiting push before the start of fall practice, and Clemson's coaching staff will host several 2015 commits and top prospects for a family-style cookout Friday. Full Story »

Should we be worreid with Huggins skipping All In Cookout

Jul 18, 2014, 8:34 AM

to visit UGA?

I don't think there is anything to worry about. Huggins has been to Clemson over a dozen times and he has truly seen everything Clemson has to offer. Before he can make a decision, he wants to make sure that he has seen other schools, because as it stands right now he has only visited Clemson, South Carolina and North Carolina

If Austin Bryant commits, I don't know if we take Huggins. I would like to make room, but Dabo told him that we only have one spot left at DE, where he wants to play. I would like to see this class finish with Bryant, Burrell, Huggins, and Settle, but it seems the Coaches really want one of those spots to go to a playmaker (McCloud, Hines)

We should always be worried about everything IMO.***

Worry is our first responsibility.

Jul 18, 2014, 2:17 PM [ in reply to Should we be worreid with Huggins skipping All In Cookout ]

Right up until the kid is cleared by the NCAA. Then we worry about whether or not he does his off season work.

Them comes the good part, we worry every time we see the look of pain on his face as to whether or not he's ended his career.

I'm sure there are other things listed here on Worry.net we can list.

To bad Chad Smith couldn't make it

Jul 18, 2014, 8:54 AM

He's one of the better recruiters for us and he could be a big help with the longest shot of the 3 who hasn't committed yet - Burrell.

No 2016 guys?

Jul 18, 2014, 9:39 AM

I remember a lot of 2015 guys coming to last year's cookout

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: No 2016 guys?

Jul 18, 2014, 9:43 AM

The coaching staff wants to focus solely on 2015 commits and prospects, so there were no invitations extended to 2016 prospects.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Interesting... Thanks for the clarification.***

I would've liked to see a few top tier invites

Jul 18, 2014, 9:57 AM [ in reply to Re: No 2016 guys? ]

especially Tavien Feaster.

Especially since there are only 3 uncommitted prospects visiting.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well if you wanted it, they should have.***

If we could get Mathew Burell plus 1

Jul 18, 2014, 10:30 AM

We would seal an awesome OL year if we could get Mathew Burell and either of the other DL guys that would be awesome. We couldn't ask for a better year!!

Nobody could say a word about our OL recruiting.

If we get a Josh Sweat or Freak Huggins later in the year we would all have to be happy with this class.

I'm thankful we don't lose 8 guys to not qualifying like the coots last years class. Rate that coots!

Go tigers!!

One of the guys assocaited with TI (Paul or Larry I think) has said more than once he's not tracking Burrell, and doesn't plan to. Anyone know what's that about?

Is Deon Cain there?***

Jul 18, 2014, 10:57 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Zack Bailey

Jul 18, 2014, 1:13 PM

Are we out of the running for him? I kind of got the feeling if he wasn't at the cook out it meant he's already decided to be a ####.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He's a coot, sadly***

It is my understanding that he probably isn't going to attend the All In Cookout or South Carolina's recruiting function later this month.
