We have a lot of "Would have been at Clemson" in the MLB and associated leagues. Wish one would actually attend.

Wish jack would recruit the ones that could actually land. Or develop a project player into that first rounder.

So that everybody wins. Schools shouldn't have to hold scholarships for kids until they find out if they get drafted or not. Let a kid put in paperwork for a draft or do the college thing. If they really want to make it about education vs. professionalism, make them draw the line early and then let them focus on that. If they don't get drafted, then they can contact colleges and see what spots are left.

In some ways, college baseball is more professional than college football in that you're only playing college ball until you have a good enough year to get drafted next to your local 17 yo star. There are at least 3 years of sanity with football.

Jeez, more people who don't understand what is going on. Things did not work out with this kid, but NOBODY really expected them to. But, why not take a shot just in case?

It's too early to tell for sure, but yesterday offered some hope that they will get the kid that they really want, Austin Decarr. He could get drafted today, but the fact that he did not go in the first two rounds suggests that he may have priced himself too high. If he makes it to Clemson he will be a weekend starter as a freshman.

Things could be a lot worse. UNC had 4 kids drafted in the first 2 rounds.
