Nice for you to weigh in Mr. Munson.

People on here always talk about how much "class" Clemson fans have. You are a great representation of that.

Why? You have absolutely nothing against him except

[8]
Posted: May 21, 2014 3:07 PM

that you are following the trend of going against the current state of affairs for no reason at all, only to ##### about whoever takes his place. Matter of fact, Merritt has probably done more for Clemson University than you ever will.

There's something in these hills.

Why, because I think he was a terrible announcer? I haven't listened to a game on radio since the first time I heard him do a game. He was awful.

Obviously many didn't like him as a commentator but

there's no doubt the guy loves Clemson University and Clemson football, and for that I thank and respect him.

Best of luck in whatever he does next and Go Tigers!

Actually, it's not obvious...

that "many" didn't like him. I personally know two and can honestly say, they don't like anybody doing that kind of work. None. I have read posts by about a dozen people who didn't like him but I suspect they are a severe minority.

Will Merritt is and always has been a class act who knows the game. He has always given me more than I anticipated and never angered or irritated me. This is a danged shame!

No more radio for me when watching the games. Have to suffer through the idiots on TV. He may not have been the best, but he loves CU and didn't talk be about the stadium, players, coaches, etc. Don can't replace Pete and Will can't be either. MY opinion!

Seems like something is up in the booth. First, PY is relieved of his duties. The hire DM, and now WM walks???
Guess the Notre Dame statistical savant I'll be sitting in the color chair.
Another already employed at Clemson.

Willy Korn is currently the wide receivers coach at Charleston Southern University.

You don't know--"Swag" Kelly!!!

Nothing to see here-move along please.

Tommy Bowden?

Personally, I wish they'd allow Bourett to do the games again, but they won't with his football duties. Brenston Buckner would do a good job but he's to opinonated. Maybe they let James Trapp do it ;)

Something stinks about this whole deal. Wanna replace Yannity, fine. However, why not have a national search and find the best replacement you can. Instead, they just give it to Munson, Dabo's personal yes man

His resignation is because of.......

[3]
Posted: May 21, 2014 9:49 PM

Don Munson. He is not well liked by alot of the staff and players. Munson runs things his way and Merritt wasn't willing to change. Many inside the program are baffled as to why Dabo has kept Munson around this long as he adds nothing to our program. It's a shame to force Pete and now Will out.

So, will Nancy O'Dell be the sideline reporter?***

Enjoyed Mike Eppley and Rodney Williams back when they were part of the broadcast crew, too.

Not sure what's going on with with the broadcast shuffle, but it was very clear where these guys stood with their loyalty. Solid Orange...and I liked it that way.

Thank you Will Merritt!

I always enjoyed the color you added. You brought a players perspective to the broadcast. You will be missed.
