Kennedy Wilson-Talmadge, Elite volleyball player picks CU

Orlando First Academy tight end Garrett Williams committed to Clemson on Monday during a speaker phone conversation with the Tigers football coaching staff.

His family and friends gathered at the TFA athletic department office to watch Williams announce his decision.

Williams picked Clemson over his other finalists FSU, Auburn and Stanford.

"It was an incredibly difficult decision,” he said. “All of the schools are extremely incredible programs ... [Clemson] after every visit, I was high in the school and the main reason is because I love what they stand for and love all the coaches and, indeed, that's where God is leading me to go. "

His main recruiter at Clemson was receivers coach Jeff Scott.

After Williams wrapped up his phone call, his girlfriend, Kennedy Wilson-Talmadge, called Clemson volleyball coach Jolene Hoover to inform her she was committing to the school as well. Wilson-Talmadge's sister also plays volleyball and is a sophomore at South Carolina.

If there was ever a time when Clemson was on the map, it is now. Even more so than the 80s. We were always attached to cheating or speculations back then. I think we run the cleanest elite program there is. Everyone knows Bama cheats with money and steroids. I "speculate" that SC and the majority of the SEC does as well.

Dabo is the best thing that has ever happened to Clemson. Wait and see.
