Only one word needs to be said about 8th on list. RIDICULOUS !

Who above him was he better than

Maybe Braylon Edwards, but everyone else above was as good as or better than Sammy in college.

I'd say only the top 2 are clearly better than Sammy but

all above him can be argued to be just as good.

8th??????? I would say top 5 easily. Bet if he played for a SeC school he would have been ranked top 3

If he'd stayed one more year he'd be no. 1.***

he has a chance to outshine several of those guys in the pros.

Larry Fitzgerald was the best college WR I've ever seen and should've won the Heisman his last year at Pitt.

Agreed. Some people are thinking of how these guys were as pros vs their success in college. Even Edwards, who underwhelmed at the pro level was incredible in college.

In 3 years, he had 252 receptions for 3,541 yards (14.1 avg) and 39 TDs. Comparatively, Sammy had 240 receptions for 3,391 yards (14.1 avg) and 27 TDs receiving (30 total).

If I had to choose a receiver, I'd obviously choose Sammy. I think most would to be honest...but we need to remember that he had a pretty drastic sophomore slump. If he had stayed level all 3 years, he'd probably be ranked around #5.

Pretty good list. I'm not sure how anyone could claim that

Sammy is underrated here. All of those guys ahead of him were incredible. He's ahead of Torry Holt for goodness sake! Does nobody here remember how good that guy was?

Great list. AJ Green, Julio Jones, Nuk Hopkins,

Andre Johnson, and Santana Moss didn't even make it.

Kept expecting him to pop up on the next slide but he never did. Dude was entirely uncoverable, a-la Fitzgerald and Peter Warrick.
