A new MLS team on the way for Atlanta.

Peach Bowl is back again.

Is it coincidence???

So does this negate the ACC's tie-in to the CFA bowl

If we lose that our best tie-in for the number two team becomes the Russell Sports Bowl in Orlando??

My hope is that the garbage bowl games disappear

under this system. If they want to have more bowl games/teams involved, do an NIT style thing where there is at least some relevance other than schools shelling out money to bowl games so they can practice two more weeks.

Yeah, why would we want MORE football to watch?

I can't imagine a single reason to have "meaningless" football games to entertain us.

How will fewer bowls affect you personally?***

Why should the bowl games go away?

There's a playoff system now and in the future, they can expand it if they want... but there's no reason to have LESS football. Most of the teams in the lower-tier bowls never had a shot at the playoffs anyway so what does it hurt to let them play each other in a lesser bowl?

The down side of it is the financial loss some schools must pony up due to lack of attendance/viewer interest. It is a real hardship to some schools and conferences to cover travel, ticket obligations, etc. The benefits of extra exposure, and added practice opportunities are significant, but it is hard to put a monetary value on that. No complaining by me about more FB, though.

Not a chance of that happening. The moratorium on new bowls ended last season and we'll have 3 new bowls this season for a total of 40. No telling how many more new bowls the future will bring but I'm sure it's not going to be less.

Still can never figure out how they can claim bowls are money pits but still keep adding new ones. Somebody is lying.
