He has a solid voice and potential, but that song just doesn't paint Clemson the way it should be painted.

Cole @ Beach Cole w/ Clemson Hat

Coots turn 4 years into 5 all the time in prison.***

What? The vast majority of college students can relate to this song. Its all in good and fun get your panties out of a wad.

I'd have to agree with you. Singing about having a good time

and going to parties or whatever and missing class is one thing, but this just makes it sound like he was hammered the whole time he was on campus and only cared about getting drunk. He did at least mention the girls, but it was beer, drunk, lake, beer, beer, girls, beer.

Why not football on Bowman or games in Death Valley or whatever else he (hopefully) did while at Clemson besides getting hammered.

Although, I don't care what fodder it gives UCS fans..I feel

it is a bigger negative light on the national scene if he happens to make it bigger.

To me it sounds like this song is more geared towards the college crowd in general and not really Clemson. FWIW he has a few CDs out and this song is actually far from his best IMO.

He's a great young man, a gentleman and very well mannered. Very disciplined and a black belt in karate.
I can't believe the negatism. It's a fun song! I remember when schools wanted to be ranked as a party school.
I'm proud Cody represents Clemson University. If you met him and heard him play with a band you'd be very impressed. A congenial and charismatic young man.

I don't think we have to worry about that.

Seems like a copy of Corey Smith.

Calm Down

Some people worry too much about what other fans think (Carolina fans). Who cares. I know this guy personally and he is a great, smart guy. His major was engineering and combine that with playing gigs around not only Clemson but also the whole state while in school......kind of makes sense why he might have turned 4 years in to 5.

All that a coot would have to sing about, getting drunk, fighting, and resisting arrest down in 5 points..........

So that makes a perfect mock-anthem for us. Great.***

Wish Clemson would stop supporting him. He sounds like a bad version of Jason Aldean….Cant sing for crap!

Play backup guitar or use that degree.

Speaking of using degrees...do you even know what one of those looks like?

You're crazy. That guy can sing.***

Cody's pretty talented and was a fixture at Clemson downtown bars the last few years.

PS: if you don't have wild and crazy stories from college like the ones he mentions in this song, I pity you, because once you leave college you don't get the opportunity to do things like that without any real consequences.
