Tigers in top two as Fruhmorgen nears a decision

Four-star offensive line prospect Jake Fruhmorgen spent three days in Clemson last weekend, and he told TigerNet Tuesday afternoon that he visit left a lasting impression and that he will make a decision in the next two weeks. What other school is in his top two? What does he think of Clemson? Full Story »

What recruit wants to play for UF right now?

Mar 11, 2014, 4:20 PM

They are a dumpster fire and will continue to be one for a while imo. FSU and Miami are passing them by, badly. Ask Demarcus Robinson how choosing them over Clemson worked out for him.

In florida, their offensive tackles or coached so well

Mar 11, 2014, 4:30 PM

they can help but to block each other.

Yes, Dabo should get that clip and show that kid what an easy choice of selecting Clemson should be. Tell him at the next level, he will never see that type of blocking scheme used. And that using that blocking scheme at the next level would hurt his chances way more than it would or could ever help him. But I do wonder if those two guys are still on the team. LMAO :)

very true. I'd play for Dabo instead of a nutcase like Will M.

Even if he does decide to pick Florida in 2 weeks. He will probably change that to us as long as we don't give up on him after their next losing record this year.

Dabo set his bait

Mar 11, 2014, 4:25 PM

247 had his leader as Alabama but Clemson is now looking like we're in the drivers seat! Keep him on the hook Dabo and reel him in!

Re: Dabo set his bait- Wow Nicky really won't be happy then

I expect an "early morning" announcement in about two weeks.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Keep in mind

Mar 11, 2014, 4:42 PM

Most of 247 predictions were based off last yr but since start of yr Clemson is trending almost 100% on 247

Hopefully we get Fruhmorgen and..

The last tackle to set his decision date after visiting us was...

Mitch Hyatt

Hopefully a domino effect

Mar 11, 2014, 6:05 PM

Will occur if fruhmorgan commits then Zack Bailey probably jumps on board leaving 2 possible spots for a few guys like Clark, Veal, Bouleware, edoga, and richmond (who's visiting next month) honestly though edoga and richmond are long shots though. 2 spots for veal, clark, and Bouleware more than likely.

Well how many Offensive Tackles are we going to take?

With Hyatt and this kid from Tampa Plant, that is two. Seems most of the others listed are tackles as well other than the Bailey kid and Chuma. Those guys are guards.

Re: Hopefully a domino effect

Mar 12, 2014, 12:05 PM

If he can play tackle he can play guard. BT played guard till needed at tackle... some think guard was his best position... what the NFL likes is he can play guard and if needed slide out to tackle.

Kid comes from a winning program. I like that. I think that is very important. He has probably been coached very well in high school. Knows what it takes to win a championship and to compete for championships. He will come in with a winning mentality. Will not take much to motivate him and keep him hungry.

OL Prospects need to make early decisions if they want to play at Clemson. Only so many slots available and a lot of talent is highly interested in playing for the Tigers.

The two commits "work ethic" being like his. That my friends is what it takes to step up into the next level.

Love that he does the "paw" drills. Best way to instill a mean streak in those guy

Mar 11, 2014, 7:51 PM

Is making them go out and hit their peers as hard as they can and compete for all their peers and coaches to see. He may be game ready on that note, and the fact that he made dabo look like a first grader standing next to him.

Dear Jake,

Mar 11, 2014, 8:39 PM

If you go to UF you have no idea who your coach will be in 2 years ... but it won't be Will M.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Feed Jake.....

Mar 12, 2014, 9:55 AM

"He's been a good dog. My best friend, right through it all...If I die before I wake....Feed Jake"

I bet Jake will be a little more than 282 before he straps on the pads in college.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

His parents should have named him Jorgen Fruhmorgen. ***
