Former Clemson DL hired by NFL team

Awesome. Couldn't have happened to a better guy.

I still remember his mile-wide smile when I'd see him out at TTT's or TD's. I had a class or two with him and while he could play the part of the typical jock, he was also extraordinarily approachable and would always say hi to me when we saw each other. He's a stand-up dude and I'm happy for him.

Couldn't agree more. I met him downtown one night, and he went out of his way to have a conversation with me for years to come. He would come back to town during the off season and we would pick up a conversation like it was nothing. Great guy, very level headed.

Congrats Nick

He has always represented Clemson in the greatest way possible. I believe that we double majored in three years and went on mission trips during the summer. Brains and character.

Not often I get news about my high school's coaching search

As I recall, he was a partial qualifier. In an interview I remember him saying he wanted to take full advantage of the opportunity he was given. I think he got his bachelors early and started work on a 2nd degree. What a way to show up and show out. That is what college athletics should be about.. a hand up. What a great, mature attitude.
