That is what fine christian men like TB do, take advantage.

How foreign a concept does a 3-3 start seems like now?

He can build that program into a winner. Good for him.

He won't be under near the pressure to win there. I think it's a good move for both parties.

They are idiots.***

He can win 8 or 9 games there easily and be a hero.***

People need to grow up and realize Bowden was not tommy west. He did good things, he wasn't some big loser

Win 8 games at Clemson and folks are not happy.

Win 8 at UAB and folks are very happy.

Holy cow- Tommy got us back on the map.

Ww were in a bad place for a long time and he got us back on our feet. Though he did all he could do, I don't think it would have ever been enough. Got to appreciate that.

Apparently winning 10 games doesn't

Apparently winning _11_ games doesn't***

I think he has found a pretty good niche as analyst .Surprises me he does fairly well at that .

Should be a good fit

Tommy was a good coach, not a great coach, and that reflected in our program under his tenure. he was satisfied w/ 6-8 wins...fan base wanted and expected more. plus when we had preseason expectations or started to put a special season together, we would fold under pressure. However, he did get the facilities upgrades started so that was always the plus out of it all.

@ UAB, he won't have the expectations that our fan base had or the competition that we faced, which being a good coach and getting 7-8 wins on a regular basis will be good for a long suffering program like UAB. On top of that, if he could manage to get facility upgrades there like he did here, that would help that program b/c they desperately need it.

This. Bowden simply was not cut out for big time

college football. He did a lot to get things built so that we'd have a chance though. I think most of animosity towards him comes from that silly contract he got because of the Arkansas shenanigans. I also think that is why there is hand wringing over Dabo's new deal and the years it includes.

Worst job in America, but then again, so probably was

Good luck Tommy! You put this university back onto

the national scene. After Hatfield and West (who is a really great guy), this program was going nowhere. You were the spark to start the rebuilding of the program. Once the bar was set, we all wanted it up to the next level. Things got
bland for a while and we had some set backs but CJ was a big help. You did some great recruiting. With all that said, I feel I owe you a debt of gratitude and wish you the best for bringing back Clemson football.

Decent guy, helped with upgrading DV, but...

I lost some respect when he didn't seem to want another job until he drained every cent from Clemson.

rue the day that this phony steps on campus!!!!!!!

Almost singlehandedly ruined our program,

Didn't like his loyalty to his friends and buddies....

Posted: Jan 20, 2014 2:59 PM

...at the expense of the University. Clemson was paying him to do a job and that job included looking out for Clemson first not his loyalty to friends.

All in all a decent guy, a good face to represent Clemson, got us pointed in the right direction but should have been shown the door after about 5 seasons. Which CTB the best though.
