Clemson's young "trees" growing up
Clemson head coach Brad Brownell has a lot to be excited about with his three young big men - Landry Nnoko, Sidy Djitte and Ibrahim Djambo. What does he say about each player? Photo by Joshua S. Kelly / US PRESSWIRE Full Story » |

We have lacked a true big man for years

I would absolutely love it if Brownell could grab us up a 4 or 5 star really athletic 6'11" or taller center. I guess I would be satisfied with a Bill Walton type center maybe. If there is even close to another Walton out there

So Far (1st half) Not picking up where he left off against Duke. So much talent, and hes having a hard time getting his career going-the way he wants it.
Also, whats happen to Roper?? #21

I would ask what happen to all the FIRE Brownell folks tonight. I bet they are lurking for the next loss to pounce. We will lose games, but we will win games also. And for those that are happier wanting Brownell to lose to prove your point. Go try and prove your point on another board. Those of us that want to see Clemson win no matter who the coach is, we are kinda sick of you that believe proving you point is better than just pull for Clemson.

I'd like to see Wienicki teach them some post moves

It's a waste of time & spacing having our 6'-10" out on the perimeter setting weak screens & not even rolling to the basket. If we could get this part of the game going, it would take alot of pressure off of the guards having to shoot so many 3's.

We barely shoot 15 3's a game

and the problem with our bigs setting a pick then rolling is that Nnoko and Djitte both still struggle to catch the ball. Nnoko has improved greatly. Has a very servicable jump hook now. Is now learning to stay out of foul trouble. Djitte is more than raw offensively. Your obsession with Wienicki is troubling, the guy is doing an excellent job

My 8th grader has a better drop step & up/under move than any of the post players in Wienicki's tenure...that is what's troubling. I guess you thought Booker's "Flying Burrito Fade Away Hook Throw" was a good shot?!?!

Your credibility on credibility is so lacking as to make

your response meaningless. DBook had his issues, but his improvement under this staff was undeniable. Nnoko has taken big steps from where he was last year. The guy is in his 5th year total playing basketball, and he's playing against real players, not 5'10 church leaguers like your 8th grader

Agree, but neither Nnoko or Djitte have good hands

right now. Nnoko is far better than last year, and I'd expect he'd continue to improve. Not unusual for bigs to struggle catching the ball in traffic, especially young ones. Our entry passes other than from Hall do tend to be eratic, especially Roper and Filer when they penetrate to far
