Him and Grantham will take us back to the tournament

Kid is silky...

A long shot to make the game, but he is definitely underrated. Has anyone seen him play in person? How is his level of competition? His stock could really rise this summer if he gets on a good aau team.

What do you mean by "a long shot to make the game?"

On the roster for the McD All American Game just

out of sheer star rating of other recruits.

Being "nominated" for the McDonald's All-American game

is not a big deal. Hundreds of players get nominated for a team of 24 players. I think DeVoe is a good player, but he is unlikely to actually be a McDonald's All-American.

Hope he's better than our last McDonald's All American***

Any idea how many Clemson signees have been nominated?

Judge, you're right that it's nowhere near the same as suiting up for the game. But it's sure a large step in the right direction for us.

Over 1,000 players are nominated for the honor each year. Being nominated for the game simply means you are a senior with some inkling of potential for playing at the next level.

The fact remains that few of our signees are among them...

In the whole field of hoops, it may not mean much, but in our vegetable patch, it's a prize cabbage!

Amen!!! Lets never forget the situation that Brownell willingly came into after Purnell's Dark escape. He just may make our BB program relevant,if given the time. And I believe he will be given the time.

Just from your expert opinion, Fire Brownell for for not recognizing good talent and signing a dud.

So is that 500 on 500 for the game?

How can he only be a 2 star if he's a McDonald's All-American?

Almost Certainly NOT McDonald's All-American

Posted: Jan 8, 2014 10:18 PM

MCD all-american represents the top 24 HS players. Nominated is top 1000 players. That is of a similar magnitude to the number of Division 1 recruits.

I would hope that every ACC recruit is among the top 1000, but maybe there are a few that don't get the honor.

He is not a Mcdonald's All American but, his Talent has been recognize by the Mcdonald's selection comity. And they have nominated him for a Chance to make the team. But he is a good recruit for us that can play at the college level.
