I hope he really does see role that Tajh plays on more than just the football field and is ready to fill it in th e future.

I know that both Watson and Kelly are good QBs,

Dec 20, 2013, 3:25 PM

but they are not nearly as good as that next QB we have coming in (whoever he may be). He is on a different level altogether and will start from day one. Mark it down!

My money is still on chad to win the job

Dec 20, 2013, 3:27 PM

It may be a timeshare but that kid has drive. Remeber RG3 had more time to recover from his injury and still looked like a shell of himself. Plus I wonder if Cole's ball security problems won't be a factor in the final decision.

Breaking down each QB

Dec 20, 2013, 3:42 PM

in a nut shell.

Cole "does" have the best knowledge of the offense, and
exp.- true.

Chad might be the best fit; Between the 2 QBs

But talent wise and UPSIDE; Watson is absolutely the
best choice.
After Fall practice, if all things are tied...I would
give Watson the nod (<~me)

I didn't know Stoudt was a TO king. Surprised to hear......***

Nice Interview. Good Kid. Needs to red shirt. Kelly will win***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If my memory serves

Dec 20, 2013, 4:26 PM

Stoudt put the ball on the ground at least twice this season.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He got sacked and fumbled playing with the backups.

Dec 20, 2013, 4:30 PM

It happens. I'm not worried about it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just the same, i dont think that they ended up .

Dec 20, 2013, 6:12 PM

being a turnover ,, maybe one did, but I don't remember two ...I don't think stoudt is going to have a turnover problem, but everybody has to play the game and see...jp

Coaches can mention recruits now?

Dec 20, 2013, 5:26 PM

I thought they weren't supposed to til they were officially signed? Oh well

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

NO FARMERS NO FOOD

He signed the financial aid agreement

Dec 20, 2013, 6:11 PM

Once the recruit does that the coach can talk about them and contact them as much as they like.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

he's got a legit shot to compete

Dec 20, 2013, 5:28 PM

His arm is better than stoudts and he runs better than Kelly. It's just a matter of learning the offense and adjusting to the sPeed of the game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would be surprised if Watson started

Dec 20, 2013, 6:14 PM

He mentioned Manzell and Winston. Both of them started as RS freshman. He'll need a year to get into college football size and shape. He'll also need time to understand the offense which is different from memorizing the offensive formations.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If Cole Stoudt wins the job

Dec 20, 2013, 7:05 PM

Watson can redshirt a year and then we have another head to head competition the following year between Kelly and Watson. This is all shaping up very well for our QB position.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgmilitary_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Only two

Dec 20, 2013, 8:10 PM

National Championships?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What I like most about this...

Dec 21, 2013, 1:20 AM

Is how clear Chad Kelly was in calling out Cole Stoudt about being a back-up when he was still in high school. Admirable guts to do that, but suddenly there's more chalk in the field, and the kid is coming up with a little more calm confidence.

May the cream rise to the top.

Love it

Re: What I like most about this...

Dec 21, 2013, 8:21 AM

I don't care which one wins. I think unless he is head and sholders above the other two, Watson redshirts. If Cole wins, Kelly could end up the best QB never to start at Clemson.

What a great problem to have. May the best man win...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

who is this next qb that is so great you don't ..

Dec 21, 2013, 12:03 PM

..even know his name?..
