Sprained probably means some tearing....

Dec 16, 2013, 2:58 PM

I'm not sure why it took so long to get the MRI.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

MCL heals on its own.

Dec 16, 2013, 2:59 PM

His stability test probably came back fine and they just used the MRI to confirm the MCL diagnosis and make sure there wasn't any meniscus damage.

Undoubtedly you have never dealt with an insurance company.***

Typically yes, a sprain involves a stretching of a ligament

Dec 16, 2013, 9:56 PM [ in reply to Sprained probably means some tearing.... ]

past the point where the tension in the ligament can withstand it, barely. It doesn't go all the way to a tear but gets stretched and there are probably some small micro tears. I played soccer for 22yrs and I've torn everything so I know. ;)

Great news!***

That is very good news. So glad he won't require surgery. Take care DeShaun.

Great news for Deshaun. Be ready to go for spring practice.***

Glad to hear the positive prognosis. I look forward to seeing this young man compete. I think he will make a great Tiger.

So he gets the honor of being selected to all-star game(s)

Dec 16, 2013, 9:44 PM

without actually having to risk playing in them?

Cool!

For Clemson fans, best of all worlds!

Heal up and get on the Tigertown for Spring practice ... :)
