By that theory the MAC, WAC and all the other cupcake conferences should be setting records year in and year out...

Same thing the SEC does except they don't drop as far when they lose. It says NCAA record which means even the mighty SEC has never done it. Aren't they the greatest from top to bottom? I think not.

It also says this>>Clemson (10-2, 7-1), coached by Dabo Swinney, will be making its second appearance in a BCS Bowl game, having dropped a decision to West Virginia in the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl. Talk about journalistic license. Their are too many bowls and too many teams going to them. Most have lost their luster and are only watched because nothing else is on or fans are having football withdrawals. Probably, they will become even more meaningless with the playoff system next year. Still, It is a shame the bowl games have lost much of their luster.

The problem we had before was couldn't get enough teams to win six games to qualify. Say what you want it is an accomplishment for the ACC.

It has more to do with the number of Bowls. In 1981 there were 16 Bowls. Now there are 35. The ACC has 3 teams with a 6-6 record playing in Bowls. It use to be a reward for having a good season. Now it's about money.

Don't rile up the house coots, that coastal was a real crapshoot up for grabs with Duke emerging. I say Duke would go 5-3 in sec , especially if it takes 4-4 vandy a miracle to get by 2-6 wake @vandy. Duke will give a&m(ATM) a run in Atlanta.
