i loved it when i had to go to westpoint to pick-up

a soldier in my unit who was returning from an torn acl surgery (serious, this happened playing b-ball for pt, we tended to get a tad rough) very picturesque country in the area where westpoint is located, as well. i loved the painted "beat navy" and "beat air force" i saw on building tops. i also saw a clemson flag flying from a house on post, on a later trip back with my family. mitchie stadium is nice, as well, although it is small compared to what we are used to.

Don't forget northern New England and the Maine coast (lobster is $2/lb).

I avoid toll roads when ever possible ...

Oct 5, 2013, 1:05 PM

Made up my mind for good after experiencing I-95 north between Baltimore and Philadelphia trying to get to Bethlehem, PA.

What an infernal (and expensive) nuisance !!

Coming back home I went cross country. It cost me an hour of my time, but saved me about $25 bucks in tolls and a huge amount of irritation.

Clemson Flags at College Game Day?

Oct 5, 2013, 2:52 PM

Each week I watch ESPN's College Game Day for years noticed a Washington State flag in the background but now see Ohio, Clemson and a few other schools have joined the fray. Each week I find myself trying to pick out and make sure the Clemson Paw is flying high in the background. Who is co-ordinating and making the Clemson visible each week at College Game Day? I'd like to buy them a beer! Nice work and go TIGERS!!

I'd recommend staying at The Otesaga in Cooperstown and taking advantage of the golf course right there too. It's a beautiful place.
