I think our D is the key to 10+ wins... if they can get the opposing O off the field we will win.... I hate the big plays by our opponents but I hate the 8 minute drives by our opponents even more.
I want our D to attack the opponent, get Turnovers or punts.
Our O has to hang on to the ball score or punt... Turnovers killed us against WestVirginia!

The easiest way to get the number of plays up is to

let the other team score quickly so the offense can get on the field. Only then will we be able to achieve this important milestone.

As long as it's FG's they score (or preferably punts they are forced to execute) and TD's we respond with, we will accomplish what all of us fans want to see, and that is a replay of what I just watched in its entirety, a NC.

Ummm, no.

The easiest way is to get a lot of stops on defense. We ran 100 against LSU because we had 6 three and outs. Why would you let the opponent score quickly? That doesn't even make sense. I don't want every game to be a shoot out. In the games we lost we couldn't get our D off of the field.

Defensive stops and move the chains on offense.

We ran 100 plays in win vs LSU ... only 59 plays in loss to SCAR.

Against LSU, our defense kept their offense off the field.

We couldn't get SCAR offense off the field the previous game.

To get the number of plays up.......

Shouldn't we try an onside kick everytime we kick off?

We are bound to get a couple. Even if we don't recover the ball, our opponent will have a short field (ie less time goes off the clock).

Just a stupid thought.......the offseason is getting to me.
