Weren't Koch, Benson, Baker and Khalil all in the majors at the same time? I can't recall any time that we had more than that though.

There were 5 last year...

Daniel Moskos, Jason Berken, Tyler Colvin, DJ Mitchell, and Tony Sipp. There were 6 in 2003; Matt White, Billy Koch, Matthew LeCroy, Kris Benson, Billy McMillon, and Khalil Greene. That may be the most in the last decade or so. Don't be surprised if there aren't some more this season.

4 guys had their MLB debut in 1996

I'd start there

Good for him!

Best of luck to him, unless he's playing the Braves.

It's unusual for a SS to be "all stick, no glove"

Jun 28, 2013, 10:42 AM

At AAA Tacoma, he has had 6 errors in 26 games since being called up last month. I guessed when he was drafted that he would end up at 3rd or the outfield (Chipper Jones came up as a SS). Obviously he's shown enough progress to 'get the call' Congratulations to him!

Weird, they have him at SS?

Jun 28, 2013, 11:19 AM

I was thinking third or first base, or maybe even outfield. Sounds like he's kind of like Pastornicky, then.

(9 E's in 42 games)

He is flat out blowing the cover off the ball

Jun 28, 2013, 11:43 AM

Great numbers with RISP, hits lefties well, steals a base here and there. If nothing else, he'd be a monster DH in the AL for someone.

Awesome, I'm stoked for him.

Seattle's starting SS isn't hitting right now

Jun 28, 2013, 11:48 AM [ in reply to Weird, they have him at SS? ]

Long term Miller is probably a 3B, but they need someone at SS who can hit. Also 6 E for Miller in 26 games might not be as bad as it sounds if he's getting hit at a whole bunch. It's not good regardless but it might not be THAT bad.

Kyle Seager is their 3B of the future. Franklin has 2B locked up. They're hoping Montero or Smoak can be the 1B and Ackley, Saunders, Guittirez.

Why? He has always been SS and they have a really good 3B already. Brendan Ryan was hitting .196.
