I'm pretty surprised by this. I thought the university felt they met halfway with the '81 team being inducted. I guess the pressure from alumni & the big boosters was too much.

Looks like Rad-Dan has weeded out all the 'old-timers' with a grudge against Coach Ford to get him in the ROH...I say go with the baseball cap with the Block C and the bill curved down hard. As far as Coach Howard's icon, you may need a graphic something like: $#%@!* to represent him.

I could hardly believe the heading...I am just gald it is being done while he is still living. I know there are (or were) some BOT that were against it, but I couldn't understand how they continue to honor the championship team, but never formally honor the coach. This is long overdue and makes me very, very proud.

Induction should be at UGA game as the series was really only a rivalry when he coached. Game Day would have him as guest picker with some films of those classic 80's games with UGA. Great exposure for us when they show 1981 game in our NC year, and say we hope this is our KO for a second one.

Looking at the iconic picture of Danny Ford on this article I wondered if anyone knew the significance (if any) of the number 23 on the blue jacket. Was that his number at Bama or something else?
