Hmmm, pretty sure he and Dodd flipped. Byers is at DE

now and Dodd DT.
There is a correction that does nee do to be made though. In the crawford beasley discussion the wording makes it sound like Beasley could move to the other side. Beasley would not move from weak side or "rush end", if anyone moved to strong side it would be Crawford who is much bigger.

There will be vast and noticeable improvement on D

Experience + upgraded talent + more time in Coach V's system = potential for very salty defense. Multiplied by one of the best offenses in the country.....

We'll be fine. Venable's stunt and blitz packages are in.

Most of our sacks against LSU were from stunts. It took a while to get them implemented. They should be second nature this year.

I agree. I will go as far as to say Vic will lead the conference in sacks this season.

I see guys who are serviceable but not outstanding, unless Beasley can add enough weight to be a full-time starter. We've missed on some big-time DE's and it will show. I think we are in good shape on the interior DL though so hopefully they will add some pressure normally allotted to the DE's. I am hopeful, but not overly optimistic, that CC's light will turn on and he becomes a dominant DE. Otherwise, it will cause BV some headaches.

He's our best corner at the moment aside from Jenkins.

Is there any film on Breeland making a great tackle?
Mar 6, 2013, 1:21 PM
|

All I saw was brushes, pushes and weak arm "tackles." Most offensive big plays were to his side and I just can't remember him being a difference maker. Point me to a game and I'll watch the footage for myself. But I'm betting people are crediting him for preseason hype, not on-field production.

I'm wanting to say he made a difference in the, I think, Maryland game in '11. One handed INT, I think that was the Maryland game anyway.

Not trying to be an ### but think there are a few things

that need to be corrected.
I mentioned the DE error in another post, the wording suggest Beasley could move, why would he move to strong side? If anyone moved it would be Crawford, I think that may be what you meant but worded it wrong.
At LB I'm 99% sure it was announced awhile back that Burrell had moved to Safety.
At DB I don't think Geohagan is "moving" to S, I think he is there and has been for awhile. I heard awhile ago that he and Smith would battle for an S spot. I'm also fairly certain Wiggins projects at S not a CB.
