Got me thinking about the Ravens starting lineup

Feb 4, 2013, 1:25 PM

You got the Blindside guy, Oher, but can't think of the other.

Each team had several SEC starters...Mickey doesn't know

Feb 4, 2013, 2:31 PM

squat about the pros, and apparently can't read a roster either...

Think the Ravens had 2 SEC starters on each side of the ball

Feb 4, 2013, 3:10 PM

Big deal ... his point was still well taken. The SEC hype machine is out of control.

BTW ... if you're counting, how many ACC starters were there?

And isn't it curious that schools like Harvard and Delaware were just about as strongly represented on the Ravens as Alabama and LSU?

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Harvard and delaware?!??!!

Feb 4, 2013, 4:57 PM

You dare mention them in the same breath as the mighty sec?

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

TU! Some don't seem to get the major point which is that it isn't conference as much as it is the schools each guy attends and the training and leadership he garners, and the individuals and what each person makes of his opportunity. A conference won't make a usuc an elite team like an Alabama, but is nice to have a big brother who is successful.

I counted 12 from SEC and 12 from ACC on Ravens roster... maybe you were talking about starters?

Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Bryant McKinnie all played in the

Big East though, so actually the ACC only had 9...

Plyler knows more than you'll even know

Feb 4, 2013, 4:27 PM

Point is since you can't comprehend is that the SEC had no more than the rest and this SEC crap is just that.

Also he was talking about starters on offense and they had

Feb 4, 2013, 4:34 PM

2 and only other is Deonte Thompson of UF as a rookie. Two best WR's were from FSU and Maryland. Not sure more than 2 start on defense either

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He made no mention of offense or defense...He clearly stated

Feb 4, 2013, 4:48 PM

that the Ravens only had 2 starters from the SEC...CLEARLY he was WRONG...And on the defensive side, McPhee, Upshaw and Ellerbee start and Cody and Bynes played as well...

Anybody that said "Well, CW MIGHT be the better QB, BUT

Feb 4, 2013, 4:52 PM [ in reply to Plyler knows more than you'll even know ]

WP fits "our(Spence's)" offense better" will never know more than me...
