Someone should put a corn dog bouquet on that tombstone and take a picture***

They are probably scratching their heads wondering why

Jan 27, 2013, 10:28 PM

people are talking about the "real" Death Valley. The game was played in ATL. The atmosphere of both stadiums never came into play. This quote, utterance, slogan, etc., is not only unfounded, but also annoying.

standard. You run everywhere you go in combat boots. Makes us all feel better about ourselves.

The game was played in ATL, so how does "Death Valley"

factor into it at all? This doesn't make sense according to logic.

Obvious Coot Statement Alert^^^^

Jan 27, 2013, 10:38 PM

We all know that the Chick Fil A bowl, played in ATL, determined where the real Death Valley is.

my logic is....

Jan 27, 2013, 10:39 PM [ in reply to The game was played in ATL, so how does "Death Valley" ]

if the game was played at lsu and they won, they would claim the title. If played at Clemson and we won, we would claim the title. Same thing if either team lost in their home stadium. By playing at a neutral site, the title is up for grabs.

We WON

Because that's where the tombstone is...

I don't understand how there can be this much confusion. Read his tweet a few more times. The tombstone and the inhabitants of the fictional grave were 'laid to rest' in Death Valley, SC. Sometimes I wonder if people even fully read things before they start blasting off comments.

How does that determine where the real death valley is?***

History and facts. Clemson has gotten up to 126 decibles while LSU has gotten up to 121. We have had the name since the late 60s LSU has had it for the last 15 years.

Not to mention we got the nickname 40 years before them

Are you kidding me?

Jan 28, 2013, 1:53 PM [ in reply to How does that determine where the real death valley is?*** ]

I didn't say that determined where 'the real death valley' is. Let me spell it out:

D Rod tweeted that LSU had been laid to rest in the real death valley

He used the term 'the real death valley' without making any claims as to how we obtained that title.

His statement was to say that we put a tombstone in Death Valley, SC, with LSU's name on it.

He referenced our Death Valley as, 'the real death valley', in a similar manner to that which one might make the statement around the water cooler, or joking with an opponent's fanbase.

are saying. I understand your point, but you are wrong, and even if you were right, you would still not be making any sense given the quote and the context of the quote. But thanks, cool guy.

Question

What does the (7) stand for on the tombstone? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can't figure out it's significance. Thanks in advance.
