He would make a GREAT DEfensive Coordinator!

Jan 15, 2013, 3:47 PM

He held Clemson's offense to 17 points a game in 2010... Must be good

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Man how people forget

Jan 15, 2013, 6:04 PM

The 31.1 points we average in 2009. Sure he had CJ Spiller and Jacoby, but that is a less than his predecessor who had an experienced QB, Aaron Kelly, James Davis, and Tyler Grisham.

I like the upgrade and move that we made to get Chad Morris, but give any OC a bunch of WRs who can't get open or catch and see how the offense looks.

Good positions coach; good recruiter... but...***

Napier called plays like he was playing X-Box Live

Jan 15, 2013, 10:54 PM

2nd and goal and it seemed like he would call a deep slant route.

You sure Napier was the one calling those?***

Why do I beleive every ex-Clemson cach that is hired is

Jan 15, 2013, 3:52 PM

really a "negative recruiting" expert, hired to point out bad things about Clemson and give testimony against us.

I am convinced this was the primary purpose of Alabama hiring Rumph.

He shouldn't have anything Bad to say about Clemson. If Dabo really is his friend. Dabo gave him a shot at OC when he had no business as such. Hopefully that wasn't the sole purpose of his or Rumphs hiring.

Great for him. I am glad we have Jeff Scott but always knew

Jan 15, 2013, 3:54 PM

Napier would also end up in a great position.

I'm happy for Billy. I worked for him as a recruiting intern in 07 and 08 and he's a great guy and great recruiter. He was one of the main reasons for that high ranked class in 08.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You worked for him? Great guy I heard...

Jan 15, 2013, 10:58 PM

but the lack of offensive production is why he moved on I guess. Terry Don should have looked for a career offensive coordinator, but the good news we had an opening another year later when Morris became available.

Good luck Billy.

Working for him was a great experience and I got to see a lot. At the end of the 08 season, to thank us for everything, he paid for our tickets and hotel rooms at the Gator Bowl, we just had to find a way to get down there. I'm glad to see he's back at a BCS school, even if it is one of our rivals.
