What is most frustrating is how close we are to being good.

Just a little offense, any offense at all and we are either close or winning this game. Defensively we are good and will only get better. But my gosh, we can't shoot. As long as our defensive ability stays the same, I expect we will improve offensively. When that happens, watch out.

maybe until tonight (depending on how we shoot 2nd half).
But right now, the CC game is the exception that proves the rule.

Offensively, we really couldn't be much worse. I hope you

are right about us getting better, but you are more optimistic than I am. I just don't think these guys are very good, and while they will probably improve, I don't see any good offensive players emerging from this group.

Way too soon to know that.

We can't get much worse offensively and we are in almost every game we play. We just have to average slightly over 60pts to win the majority of our games. That's why playing the tough defense we do is so important.
Potential of scoring more is there and will improve with blossinggame/rooks.

score more and shoot better (an assumption I don't necessarily agree with, in general), everybody we play has guys that come to school scoring; they don't have to hope for shooters and scorers to develop or emerge.

I understand that we are a young team. It's just that none

of our young players, with the exception possibly of Roper, appear to be good shooters. Also, I understand that everyone has high expectations for Blossomgame, but he was a 3-star player whose only other offers came from Mercer, Tennessee Tech, VCU, and Witchita State, besides, Jennings was a McDonalds All-American; we have no idea how good Blossomgame will be or if he will be a good shooter. Coleman is out, of course, and I think he could contribute significantly, but I'm not confident that he or Blossomgame will be enough.

Notre Dame faced the same thing last night. They were so close to being good until they realized they couldn't tackle. Same with basketball. See Duke is like Alabama. They are good in basketball.Bama is good in football.Good teams keep bad teams from doing good things. Notre Dame could not tackle, and we can not shoot. Bama was to blame for Notre Dame sucking.Tonite Duke is to blame for us sucking.
