Relax on the Recruiting

Jan 8, 2013, 8:17 AM

We are not the only team that has recruits looking or changing their minds
Dabo & Coaches are doing all they can to get the players
who want to be Clemson Tigers

"Walker flips from Alabama to FSU
Jan 8 1:10AM ET By Kipp Adams | ESPN.com
ESPN 150 defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood) decided to stay in-state after all...in Tallahassee."

"I prayed," Walker said. "I just had to follow my heart. I am committed to Florida State University."

"In a shocking last-minute switch, the 6-foot-4, 255-pound senior flipped from Alabama to Florida State and announced his decision just moments after the Crimson Tide defeated Notre Dame 42-14 to win back-to-back BCS National Championships. He will enroll in school tomorrow according to Sandalwood head coach Adam Geis."

Agree!

We will be fine. I still think we get a couple of defensive studs and don't really care about the offensive siode this year. I believe in Dabo!

Re: Relax on the Recruiting

Most are 17-18 years old, come from small towns & High Schools, some have never been more than 100 miles from home.
After the 1st home game 2011, I talked with 2 of our 1st year players (SW & MB)both were recruited as 4-5*
They both said leaving the hotel they were so excited to the point of almost being sick
Both said when they got to DV waiting on the bus before
their first Tiger Walk their eyes were full of water
One said it was all he could do to hold back the tears
After they talked a few minutes I asked why or what made them get so excited
About the same time Both said that there were more Clemson Tigers fans lined up for the Tiger Walk than
had ever been to any of their High School Games
One said after getting dressed out and walking out to
warm up when they went back to the locker room he had to run to the bathroom so no one on the team could see him
cry
Now we all get water in our eyes from excitement every
time he gets his hands on the football

Good story that really tells the player's side of things. +1***

Another player has a change of heart

Kylie Fitts decommits from USC

"Fitts became the fifth decommitment for the Trojans, joining Max Redfield, Eldridge Massington, Eddie Vanderdoes and Sebastian LaRue. The latest one was undoubtedly the most surprising"
