TigerNet Talk: A Matter of Time

Clemson avoids losing Chad Morris to Texas Tech, but it's only a matter of time before he becomes a head coach. Would Texas A&M really consider shelling out $6.5 million for "The Chad"? Full Story »

Wish tigernet and other media would quit this distracting

Dec 14, 2012, 9:27 AM

type of "news". Please use common sense and allow the Coaches and players focus on playing LSU! I am surprised that you tigernet writers are just as foolish as other sports "journalists"!

It's up to the players and coaches to retain their focus

Whether it's Tigernet or any other media, Xbox, the holidays, or whatever else, distractions are always there.

If our team and coaches are spending time listening to TigerTalk, then the team has much bigger issues than what ElSwann discusses on his show...

local supposedly supportive media was not involved in such muddying the air with non-factual speculations!

How do you propose stopping the media from doing its job?***

It's not a big deal

I seriously doubt that articles in TigerNet or any other publication are a big distraction. Actions like getting on airplanes, meeting in airports, etc., on the other hand easily lead to a lot of team chit-chat and rumors.

Is Phil Kornblut providing the Tigernet articles ?***

On the question, Clemson or Chad Offense. Dabo hired Chad to run this type of offense. Dabo said this the day he hired Chad and he reminded everyone that he did a couple of days ago. This is a Clemson offense until we go to another type of offense and when and if we do, it will be a new Clemson offense. Dabo is in charge. He is the HC. If he decides one day that times are changing and our offense needs to change with them, he will initiate those changes. IMO it looks like Dabo is not a micro-manager or at least, tries not to be and he expects the coordinators to run their jobs and the players to execute on and off the field. He expects everyone on the team to be accountable and from what I can see, he expects that from himself also. Dabo has class and is a very humble man. He gives credit where credit is due. He continues to grow more and more in this way and I like it!!!
