To read on here, it was like he needed to transfer to UNC. Shows to go you that people(at least some) here know little about what they speak.

I too think suspension for skipping a study hall is too much, but if its mandatory then it's mandatory, good that Dabo sticks to his word, bet he won't skip anymore study halls!

Sounds like it is not the first time for Bryant.Maybe thats why the fastest player on the team with skill like Sammy ( we hear that on tv alot) isnt playing more than he is....

This certainly explains, at least in part, why....

Clemson's graduation rates are in the 75% range while some other school that will remain nameless is below 50%.
At some schools, like Clemson, academics are a priority. At some others...not so much.
Of course, considering the degree programs at the nameless school is the equivalent of 13th grade, any half-wit can mamage to maintain academic eligilility with minimal effort.

Also might explain why a certain tall, talented WR had a he!! of a time just getting into Clemson in the first place and why he just might be having a hard time staying eligible ... he just might need these study hall sessions badly to pass his classes.

Definitely by Clemson an probably the NCAA. So skipping not only hurts Bryant, but the rest of the team.

My wife was an athletic department mentor
Dec 12, 2012, 4:36 PM

She mentored several high profile Clemson athletes, and if they missed mentoring or study hall they faced some serious consequences. In fact, if my wife wasn't happy with their attitude in mentoring, they could get in trouble. Clemson does everything to help athletes but if they don't toe the line there are consequences.

Just because he was suspended for missing study hall, does not mean that his grades aren't also bad.
