Revisonist takes on the situation like yours (well, not really yours actually) are ridiculous.
Simply because Japan had insufficient national assets to realize their dreams of becoming a world power, their militaristic leadership decided just to take what they needed from other countries through force.
Great p;an if you can pull it off and it might have worked if everyone on December 7, 1941 agreed with you and other latter day experts.
But, when we decided earlier to resist their aggression through non-military means, they chose to make a pre-emptive and completely unnannounced act of war on us, hoping to cripple us long enough for people with your attitude to decide that going to war would be a too long and arduous a task.
They hoped that people like you would simply chose to negotaite a peace that would let the Japanaese empire exist andf continue to expand.
Your attiude was wrong then and it's still wrong today.
