Let's see. When we do the cheer in the stadium on one side we chant - ORANGE - um, yep, it's not purple on the other side, it's WHITE. Purple has no football success associated with it unless it was back in the day. I think maybe in 91 we wore it once but traditionaly we wear Orange & White. That is the tradion, that is what we've won with. There is no distraction about what uniform you're going to wear. If it's a big home game, you might get to wear the orange britches. That is it.
If you want purple, it is an accent color and is being used to outline the white or orange numbers.
Keep it on our diplomas but off of the football uniforms.
Also, please ban the woo hoo.

we quit with the purple and returned to our traditional uniforms. I think that is pretty strong evidence right there.
