I liked the way he played against BC. He really only had one play where he got beat but it wasn't entirely his fault because he had no safety help over the top on that long crossing route. I would like to see more of him for sure.

I admire the way Venables phrased the situation.

It's important to realize that these are collegiate students. Feels wrong to publicly deride a player who isn't performing at the top of their game. I mean, you have to say something cause you have to comment, but there's a lot of coaches who will publicly talk bad about a collegiate player, which feels wrong. I like how Venables talked about the situation in the post-game interview. Real classy.

Seeing this kid make plays gave me some hope for our Defense. I just remember watching the game in my living room and jumping up and down yelling "Garry Peters???!!!", "whose Garry Peters and why the h€ll hasn't he BEEN PLAYING???!!!".
Can we try to play more 2nd, 3rd Stringers?? Please!!

The time that he really got beat for the TD. The receiver done a double move kinda like Sammy did that FUS guy last year. The double move is an A$$ kicker done right.

Peters is a red-shirt soph, stars do not matter at this stage in his career, practice, focus and work ethic matter more. Phillip Price was a no star walk on but last year he was our best on the OL. Sensabaugh was a low 3 star... but I loved the way he played last year.... A 4* or 5* player may help you as a freshman, that is the importance of stars. If you need to use the 3* as freshmen then you will struggle as we did last year on the DL.

Work ethnic can't do much to improve sheer speed,

athleticism, and god-given talent. It can help you reach your ceiling, but some guys just have higher ceilings. 4 and 5 star guys should have higher ceilings than 2 and 3 star guys.

Nuk Hopkins is credting the Strength and Conditioning staff for increasing his speed this summer and I think he has increased his speed, I never saw him behind the defense his 1st 2 years but he has been several times this year..... Sensabaugh, I think was the fastest player on our starting D last year.....

At other positions to realize the coaches are not afraid to replace anyone. If you are not getting the job done, sub someone else! I think Robinson will react to this and will be working his tail off to get his spot back

I'm glad they gave Peters the starting job over Robinson! Everytime a big pass play happened or a defensive pass interference was called ya better believe #21 was part of it. But overall someway somehow, we HAVE GOT to start getting more pressure on the QB. Goodman was a Top DE recruit and has pretty much been invisible his whole career here so far.
