Watson on hype: "You have to put your hand in the dirt and be ready to play."

Tiger defensive tackle Josh Watson said he will be watching ESPN's GameDay, along with millions of other people Saturday morning. Once that is over, he and the defense will finish preparations for the Seminoles, and that once the game begins, it's just football. Full Story »

Almost all TV "experts" say it comes down to our O vs FSU D

Sep 22, 2012, 12:54 PM

It's a team sport so of course O, D, & ST, matter, but I think our O will put up "enough" points to reasonably win the game-- say in the mid-high-20's (or above). I think the real key to the game is whether our D can hold FSU's O to some kind of reasonable score- say in the mid-low 20's (or below).

ESPN's Robert Smith said the same thing a day or two before the game, but all of the other "experts" think it's all about our O vs. the FSU D. We'll see.

Go Tigers!

I think it is our D against their O.

Our Offense will score. But can we outscore FSU? WIll our D hold enough times to stop them?

I was right. Our O was fine. Our D stank it up again.Thx BV

FSU could have have put up 50+ if they hadn't been merciful. (They could have at least kicked a chip-shot FG.) Our O put up enough (37 points) to win any kind of reasonable football game.

I'm not impressed with Brent Venables so far. I'm not seeing much difference from Steele. I'm still thinking Randy Shannon would have been a better choice.

Excellent & true. But we have business to take care of.

But I probably wouldn't have let my players watch all the hype / smoke an mirrors until they got back home.

They have their own fate in their hands, down in that dirt.

We have business to take care of.

I like Watson's outlook ...

I hope he has a long & successful career.

As to our readiness for FSU, all media experts are picking FSU. So we have plenty of bulletin board material and no excuses. Go Tigers!

up on field. Would be one of the biggest road wins in school history.
