AJC: Are you truly committed to Clemson, could anything sway you away?
RN: Probably not.
AJC: PROBABLY not? Are you going to be visiting other programs?
RN: Probably not officially, I might go see my brother play at Ole Miss.
AJC: I am sure you are still getting a lot of calls from recruiters... are you still talking with them?
RN: Everyone once in a while, to be honest I am kind of tired of being harrassed.
AJC: Who else from Grayson would you like to play with in college?
RN: Carter.
AJC: Has Clemson offered him?
RN: No, if they did I would be really excited.
AJC: Would that solidify your committment to Clemson?
RN: It is already solid,
AJC: But are you waiting for Clemson to offer Carter and would that make you more solid on your committment?
RN: Yeah,“I am waiting on Clemson to offer Ryan; when that happens, it’s locked … it’s a done deal … it’s over,” And I won't even be taking recruiters calls anymore. But I also know that I am not the coach of Clemson and I know that I have a lot of work to do to live up to my hype. We are creating a dynasty here and Dabo is the coach, not me. He knows what is best for our dynasty.
That is the interview ladies and gentlemen. An interviewer can phrase questions to get the answers they want. And when they get portions of the answers they want, they can print only the portions that they want.

So he wants to play with another friend. See nothing sinister about this. Most kids in HS would like to have all their friends with him. Note he said "But I also know that I am not the coach of Clemson and I know that I have a lot of work to do to live up to my hype. We are creating a dynasty here and Dabo is the coach, not me. This is made up - but just shows how anyone can be made to look like they said anything. And could have said it, but taking one statement out of context can be extremely misleading.

The last question you posted still makes me think the kid is saying he is not committed unless the db gets an offer. In answer to your last question, why wouldn't Robert just say "there is nothing that can make me more committed, I'm 100% committed"?
Instead he says he would be even more committed if Dabo offers his friend.

posted in the T-net article and puts Nkemdiche's comments into much greater perspective. The press really did him wrong they way they twisted his answers, and are doing a disservice to us as well.

you should have put some kind of disclaimer at the beginning "this is not actually what Nkemdiche said", because most of the people on this site will take this "interview" as fact.

All depends on how you want to construe the alleged statement reportedly made by Nkemdiche in the AJC ... and whether or not you believe sports journalists are unbiased reporters of the facts or biased manipulators out to sell papers by creating news.

I hope there are news articles coming because of this post. And along with that I hope the "reporter" or "writer" gets a fat pink slip for not doing their research before reporting. This was a post on a internet forum for goodness sakes. If one legit article is published from the statements in this post I will personally call the publisher and ask to have the writer fired. I mean, we are seriously. 80% of people probably still think that Sarah Palin said "I can see Russia from my house". And for those that do - I am a Nigerian Prince and I need to transfer $20 Millon into the United States Banks. If you help me, I will give you $2 Millon of it.
